VA-Disability-Calc.com is operated by 369 Cadence. This page is free to read. Calculators stay free for veterans. Estimates only — we are not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Storage
Core estimate inputs (ratings, dependents, claim milestones, local drafts) are saved in your browser’s local storage on this device when a tool says they stay local. We do not need an account for the calculator. Clearing site data in your browser removes those local saves.
Transmission
Rating and pay math for the estimate run in your browser. That calculation is not uploaded to produce the estimate.
Some features do send data when you choose them: waitlist or account email, chat questions, and similar contact forms. Those are not “zero-knowledge.” If you type an email or a chat message, that content leaves your device so we can respond or notify you.
Analytics
When analytics are configured in production, this site may use:
- Google Analytics (via
NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_IDwhen set) for page-view style measurement. - Vercel Analytics for privacy-oriented traffic metrics on the host.
Analytics measure site usage. They are not your VA claim file. You can also use browser controls or extensions to limit tracking.
Deletion
On calculator tools, use clear/reset controls to wipe sample or entered ratings from that tool’s local save. For a full wipe, clear this site’s cookies and site data in your browser settings. Waitlist or account emails already sent may remain in our email/lead systems until you ask us to remove them — contact via the site’s normal channels if you need that help.
Encryption honesty
Traffic uses HTTPS in transit. Local calculator saves in the browser are not a passphrase-encrypted vault. We do not claim zero-knowledge encryption for waitlist email, chat, or ordinary page analytics. “Private & secure” on this site means: estimate math stays on device, we do not sell your claim file, and we are honest about what is local versus what leaves when you opt in.
Recovery
If you clear browser storage, lose the device, or switch browsers, local estimate data is usually gone. There is no cloud restore for on-device calculator saves. That is intentional for a free local-first estimate — and it means you should not treat the browser as your only copy of important claim notes.
What we are not
We are not the VA. We do not file claims. We do not represent you. Optional Toolkit extras (if they ship later) will still need clear storage language — see the Veteran Toolkit page.
