How the VA disability pay chart works
Your rounded combined rating maps to a monthly compensation amount. Ratings 10% and 20% are flat (no dependent add-ons). At 30% and above, a spouse, children, and dependent parents can increase pay. Use the combined rating calculator first if you have multiple disabilities.
Pair this chart with the back pay calculator and effective date calculator when modeling increases. SMC and TDIU can change totals beyond the schedular table — see the SMC calculator and TDIU checker.
Using these figures responsibly
Schedular amounts for veteran alone, spouse, child-only, spouse+1, and spouse+2 come from official VA tables effective December 1, 2025. Parent-only, school-age children (18–23), spouse Aid & Attendance, and some multi-parent combinations are only partly modeled — confirm those on VA.gov. Not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Rates effective December 1, 2025 (2026 compensation year). Verify on VA.gov veteran compensation rates or SMC rates.
